THE SOMEDAY GIRL is the 85,000 word follow up to THE MONDAY GIRL. It concludes the angsty, addictive storyline of THE GIRL duet.

The movie has wrapped, but the drama is just getting started…

Katharine Firestone finally has everything she’s ever wanted — new house, new car, new status as a Hollywood A-lister. And yet, she’s never felt more isolated. As the movie premiere creeps closer, Kat spends her days playing an infatuated co-star for the press tour cameras, and her nights wondering what the hell she’s going to do to fix the mess she’s made out of her personal life.

One broken girl.
Two heart-stopping men.
One impossible decision.

Torn between the heartbreaker she tried to avoid and the man she never saw coming, Kat will be forced to answer the ultimate question Do we get a say when it comes to choosing our soulmate?

Love. Lust. Passion. Paparazzi. The road to fame and fortune is never easy. And, in the City of Angels, the only place they guarantee a happily-ever-after is in the movies…

THE SOMEDAY GIRL is a tangled contemporary love story about a girl learning to love — her friends, her career, her soulmate, and, most of all, herself. It is the second installment of THE GIRL DUET, concluding the angsty, addictive storyline that began in THE MONDAY GIRL. Each installment is approximately 95,000 words. Recommended for readers ages 17+ due to strong language, sexual situations, drug use, and other mature elements.

The Someday Girl The Girl Duet Book 2 eBook Julie Johnson

I loved this book. Kat was such an awesome and perfectly flawed person. I loved watching her bounce back in this one and attempt to be stronger than she was before. She learned, grew and changed into a better version of herself. Wyatt, what a wonderful man. I hope that every girl gets her very own Wyatt. He made my hear happy. Grayson, was not perfect, but I think he was trying. We all have that selfish stage in our lives, and he was trying to deal with the consequences of those decisions. There were so many ups and downs in this book, but watching them all go through them was beautiful and heart breakingly sad. I would say that's excellent writing. Job well done!

The Someday Girl The Girl Duet Book 2 eBook Julie Johnson Reviews

My soul was obliterated in the most beautifully agonizing way possible.

"Someday is an empty promise. Someday is a lie you tell girls you blow off, to make yourself feel a little better."

I don't even have the words to properly define this book. Katherine Firestone has transformed from a self doubting girl with little to no confidence in herself into a brave young woman who isn't afraid to express herself and go after what she wants and most of all what she deserves.

She is "a phoenix, reborn into something better."

For a long time after reading this book I sat there stunned before hauling my butt out of bed to get ice cream to nurse my broken heart. I was torn to pieces, asking why, why did these things happen. This novel is probably the most real of any I have read. There aren't always explanations of the whys in this life.

This book defies what a love story is, although it is an epic love story at its core, it is so much more than that. This story will have you looking inside, we all have a piece of Katherine Firestone in us and can learn from her.

Dive in head first to this novel and get ready for a book that will flip your world upside and when you finish you will be left stunned and not real sure what do with yourself, other than tell all of your friends to read it because you will want to talk about it.
Monday Girl was an emotional experience in reading but OMG The Someday Girl definitely blows MG out of the water. This book is so deep and full of emotional growth yet also has that angst, that sexual tension and heat. Julie Johnson wrote a masterpiece that takes the reader on a journey that will take you on a story about a broken girl and the story of her twisted love life which is a disaster of her making. Of her learning the meaning of what true love is and the meaning of true heartbreak. Of her learning of who she really is and of finding her way back to her true love. This is really Kat Firestone’s story, not a story of Kat, Wyatt and Grayson. It’s the story about Kat , a walking disaster of a woman who makes some pretty bad decisions but throughout the wake of what has burned in her pain, Kat is still the sweet woman who just wants to find love and be loved.
We get to see Kat’s star rising while she promotes her career, the rounds to various parties and the attack of the paparazzi toward Kat. I found how the author wrote Kat and her journey toward finding out who she truly was and what she was wanting is fantastic. I used MANY Tissues during the reading of this story. Kat’s journey is , at times, messy, ugly and eye opening. She comes to a realization and it helps her with come to the only conclusion that is needed to make that journey home and to the right person.
This is a story that is painful at times, gritty, and full of self-discovery for the main character – The author doesn’t hold any punches and I love how she writes the dark, the ugly and the pain when she is taking layer upon layer off in this story while shining the light in. It was beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time; I loved it and I have to say, it comes off as easy to read but wow it must have been hard to write. With all the characters involved so kudos to the author for how to wrote, it was fabulous. There are several momentous parts in this story that have twists and turns and I was on the edge of my seat. I have to tell you, the ending had me crying messy, sobby tears which has me wondering one lingering question which the author can only answer. When you read the book, Im sure you will have the same question. But you leave this book knowing Kat comes out of the dark and into the light. She makes it thru and that to me, was worth all the pain she went thru. I read this book and was like, YES!! This duet is so mind blowing great and I highly recommend this !

My Rating 4.9 stars *****

Julie Johnson....I Hate you! I'm a mess! And it's all your fault!!!!

I've discovered this author in November 2014, with her book Say the word. I loved it so much I read straight away her only other book available - Like gravity and loved it too. Then came Erasing faith, that I absolutely loved. Anyway, I've read all her books.

It took me awhile to pick this duet, but it was on my kindle since release. I know this author, and she always delivers.

So, finally I pick these babies and I couldn't stop. I read them both in 2 days! My eyes are read and tired, and not just from reading almost non-stop. She made me cry! So I hate her! ;)

This story is EPIC! Everybody should read it no doubt. It's beautifully written, stunning actually, it's heartbreaking, it's...everything! I have no words to describe how amazing this story is.

This book 2 though...broke my heart into million tiny pieces. I can't....

Why??

Epic! Read it! NOW!!!!

Oh one more thing.....TEAM WYATT!!!! lol
